Ingredients
Shop- 6 slices bacon
- 3 tablespoons bacon drippings
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 prepared biscuits
Instructions
Cook bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Remove and crumble.
Reserve 3 tablespoons bacon drippings in the skillet.
Add crushed tomatoes, milk, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently.
Cook 10-12 minutes until thickened.
Stir in crumbled bacon.
Split warm biscuits and ladle tomato gravy over top.
Serve immediately with extra black pepper.
