Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and arrange bread cubes evenly.
Pour egg mixture over bread, pressing down to ensure all pieces are soaked.
Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).
In the morning, preheat oven to 350°F.
Make praline topping: melt butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup in a saucepan.
Stir in pecans and pour over the soaked bread.
Bake uncovered 45-50 minutes until golden and set.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving with maple syrup.
