Ingredients
Shop- 6 cups sliced fresh peaches
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (for topping)
- 1/4 cup sugar (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons coarse sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Mix peaches, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Pour into 9x13-inch baking dish.
For topping: mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter.
Stir in buttermilk until just combined.
Drop biscuit dough by spoonfuls over peaches.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
Bake 40-45 minutes until topping is golden and peaches are bubbly.
Let cool 15 minutes before serving with vanilla ice cream.

Fresh peaches are best, but frozen work great too - just thaw and drain excess liquid before using.
