Ingredients
Shop- 6 cups fresh corn kernels (about 8 ears)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Fresh chives for garnish
Instructions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add corn kernels and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mix flour with a little milk to make a paste.
Add cream, remaining milk, sugar, salt, and pepper to corn.
Stir in flour paste.
Simmer 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened and creamy.
Adjust seasoning to taste.
Garnish with fresh chives and serve hot.
Chef's Comfy Tip
Fresh corn is best, but frozen works great too - just thaw and drain it well before cooking.
