Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gently fold in blueberries.
Add buttermilk and stir until just combined (don't overmix).
Turn dough onto floured surface and pat to 3/4-inch thickness.
Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
Bake 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

Frozen blueberries work too, but don't thaw them first - toss them in frozen to prevent the dough from turning purple.
